That’s why I’ve leaned to answer, “2 stroke production cars and Group C era race cars” It always gives them a blank stare and they don’t continue the automotive conversation thankfully. As far as music, I’ve learn to just say the truth, 80's thrash and that’s it. I may like randoms songs by random artists, but I choose to only listen to 80's thrash.

In seriousness I was having a conversation with my coworker about this; we are all nerds (car nerds, music nerds, sports nerds, ugly mods nerds etc), the trick to being a good nerd is gauging how much nerd you can share with others. your have to probe and then if there is interest you can share more. no thing is more annoying than when someone turns the nerd tap on full when I couldn’t care less. (Hi sports nerds!)

Indeed! I also love most of the French cars that had PRV engines since although the engines were rubbish the cars weren’t! (Like the mighty Citroen XM, the Alpine A610, the Safrane Biturbo Baccara, and every Venturi!)

Hate PRV Volvos though, the red and whiteblocks were ten times more reliable and could easily be tuned to make more power than the measly PRV. Great for the French, terrible for the Swedes.
